The site, which features vibrant colors and images of the students,
teachers and administrators, helps keep the community connected with
up-to-the-minute information about important news and events in the
school system. In-depth sections focused on the offices of Curriculum
& Instruction and Operations & Support Services ensure that the entire
school community has the resources and information necessary to focus
on improving student achievement in Lawrence. The Parents and
Students section offers families information to help play an active
role in the school community. Finally, a News and Media section
provides information regarding current events in the District as well
as electronic versions of the District’s acclaimed Lawrence Educator
magazine. Throughout the site, brief side-bar features highlight some
of the District’s brightest students and educators, called “Lawrence
Achievers;” while “Did You Know” side-bars share facts and statistics
about the school system. With this collection of resources, the
Lawrence Public Schools has made available the tools necessary to
help prepare students and the community for a successful future.
